This particular trend dropped about 5 months ago when A.Keys decided to rock a pair during her visit on 106&PARK and Rhianna went the safe route and chose a jacket instead. Personally, I'm feeling this one guys. I know its a little risky being that it is 2009 and not 1984, but I feel drawn to this one. I am surprised I haven't seen anyone wearing these yet. Then again, I haven't seen them in any department stores. I tried looking for them in thrift shops, but by the time you spend money altering them, you could have bought a brand new pair (maybe two). hey...co-in-ci-dence! I was just wondering about my pair...Tar-get had them back in March '08...and of course,I actually have them (skinny jean form) but I've lost too much weight, to rock 'em...alteration shop I go-I guess! lol...good one!
The moment I saw Rihanna with the jacket on VH1Soul, I knew I needed to explore this trend. I was so young when it came out originally so I think I can do it now.
You know what they say about trends...if you are old enough to have worn it the first time around, you are to old to wear it the second time around. LOL
I saw a very flamboyant guy rocking a pair of skinny stone washed jeans with hi-top kicks looking super cool while I was in VA.
